Following on from our recent article on ‘The Story of Class D so far in 2025’, it’s now time to shift our attention to how the action has unfolded in Class C this season.
With two races to go, Abbitt Motorsport’s Dan Abbitt is currently on top of the class standings. The Honda Integra DC5 competitor claimed the class title back in 2022 and is showing his fine form again this year. Having secured Class C victories at Snetterton, Oulton Park and Cadwell Park, Abbitt has amassed an impressive 129pts and will be looking for two strong final rounds to claim the class championship once more.
It won’t be easy for Abbitt though, as Class C has once again proved competitive in 2025. An astonishing nine different teams have finished on the class podium, with an even larger number displaying standout performances across the five races to date.
A solid campaign for PRO-AM Racing currently sees the #12 Renault Clio sit second in the class standings. Highlights for the team will surely include well-earned podiums at both Cadwell Park and Silverstone, where they also finished a strong P6 and P7 overall.
Algar Racing aren’t far behind PRO-AM Racing in the standings in third. The team will be looking to gain ground on those in front at both Croft and Brands Hatch, while also keeping rivals such as Frogjam Motorsport and MCS Racing in mind – as only four points separates the three teams as things stand!
Freddie Pummell and James Robinson (Frogjam Motorsport) will have been delighted to take the class wins at both Silverstone and Donington Park. The latter victory being especially impressive, considering they finished second overall. Meanwhile, Nathan Mcphail (MCS Racing) displayed excellent race craft to finish as Class C runner-up at the season opener at Snetterton and Oulton Park in his Honda Civic.
Reigning Class C Champion Wayne Cockerill (Aindale Racing) was another to impress at Oulton Park, finishing on the podium in Cheshire, while: Jason Rogers (JR Racing), Dean Hyde (Tylah Motorsport) and Mabbett/Parsons (7 Motorsport) will all be proud to have earned class trophies over the course of the current season.
The likes of Amy Allen (Tylah Motorsport) and the father and son duo of Phil and James Hart (Harts Racing) will also be looking to challenge the afore-mentioned drivers in the final rounds too, setting the scene for a gripping end to the season.
Bring it on!
