Trackday Championship is Back!

Trackday Championship is Back!

06 March 2023

Trackday Championship (TDC) is back for its eighth successive season in 2023! With its competitive racing and friendly paddock, TDC remains one of the most highly regarded competitions for production saloon, hatchback and sports car racers in the UK.

Anticipation for the upcoming season has built over the off-season and now all eyes are firmly fixed on the Silverstone National opener in April. Last seasons overall Champion, John Lyne (Tylah Motorsport), will be hoping to replicate his feat from last year by again winning the opening race in 2023. We expect the BMW driver to face stern competition for the top step in Northamptonshire, from a grid full of hungry competitors all vying to start their new campaign off in the best possible way.

After making its TDC debut in 2022, we welcome back the picturesque Anglesey Coastal circuit to the calendar as our second round of the year. We will then head east to the technically challenging Snetterton 300 circuit, before a highly-anticipated fourth round on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. The Brands Hatch Grand Prix race is the firm-favourite for many within the paddock and we can’t think of a better way to kick off the second half of the season. A return to Oulton Park has caused excitement for Round Five, with the championship showdown scheduled for Brands Hatch (Indy) in October – rounding off a strong and dynamic calendar.

Both TDC’s race and class structure remain the same for the upcoming season, as the established formula remains successful.

The TDC website, www.trackdaychampionship.com, will continue to be your go-to hub for everything this season – whether it be: previews, race results, race galleries or more. Race reports posted after the event will give competitors the chance to relive the action, while the Championship Standings will keep you regularly updated with who is vying for Championship glory.

Tylah Motorsport (B), Abbitt Motorsport (C) and Team Fiesta Club Racer (D) will all be keen to retain their class titles, but only time will tell if they will be able to again best a large field of new faces and TDC veterans.

Furthermore, we’re delighted to welcome a new screen-top sponsor to TDC in 2023 - Marketing Delivery. To find out more about the new partnership between Marketing Delivery and Trackday Championship, read our Meet The Sponsor article here.
