Trackday Championship (TDC) heads to the stunning Cheshire countryside for Round 6 at Oulton Park on 26 September!
Oulton Park never fails to impress, with its undulating layout and technical corners, featuring standout sections such as Cascades and Brittens, as well as the banked hairpin, all set amongst some of the most picturesque scenery.
The Class B championship is currently headed up by Michael Rawlings in the #34 Paddock Performance BMW 3 Series, coming into the weekend off the back of an impressive 34-point haul at the previous round. He’ll be looking to carry that momentum into the next two rounds as the battle continues to take shape.
Matt Swaffer currently holds second place in the #45 Swaffer Racing BMW 130i, with the Team Air Supply #46 Golf just 10 points further back in third. With the fight for the podium positions finely poised, the Class B field will be looking to make their mark around the complex Cheshire circuit.
Class C winner last time out, Ashley Parsons, will return in the #83 Seven Motorsport Toyota Celica, aiming to continue his title campaign in the Celica. Amongst the Class C entries, is the Harts Racing #245 Honda Civic Type R, looking to bring the fight to the front of the class. Wayne Cockerill #21 is another driver to watch, having secured an impressive third place overall at Donington, while also taking Class C victory in TDC’s sister series, Trackday Trophy.
Class D will see current leader Jack Hargraves looking to maintain his advantage in the #66 Boreham Motorsport MX-5 Mk3 after a consistent season. However, amongst the entries is Steven Orant in the STAL Powered for Racing #56 MX-5 Mk4, who will be keen to close the gap to Hargraves and eat into his lead.
Lee Taylor will also return in the #95 Graves Motorsport MX-5 Mk3, with just three points separating him from Orant in the standings. The closely contested Class D battle could make for some particularly close racing around Oulton Park!
