Round three of the Trackday Championship (TDC) heads to Mallory Park this season, with the popular multi-class championship set to make its first-ever appearance at the Leicestershire venue.
Renowned for delivering close and competitive club racing, the TDC’s visit to Mallory Park adds a new challenge for drivers and teams alike as they tackle one of the UK’s shortest, yet deceptively demanding, circuits for the very first time.
One driver to keep an eye on heading into the weekend is championship leader Matt Swaffer in the white number 45 BMW 130i. Fresh off an overall victory at Cadwell Park, Swaffer will be looking to extend his lead in the championship on his debut at the Midlands circuit. Hot on his heels, however, will be 2025 championship contenders Jack and George Wright, who will be looking to bounce back after a challenging start to the 2026 season.
Stephen Docker, in his Class C Mazda MX-5, currently sits second in the championship standings and has established himself as one of the leading contenders in the class so far this season. He will be aiming to add another strong result to his growing campaign. Class C, however, is shaping up to be fiercely contested, with Ashley Parsons aiming to build on his Cadwell Park success aboard his Toyota Celica. The class’s combination of lightweight machinery and Mallory Park’s fast, uninterrupted layout should provide plenty of entertainment as the field battles for valuable championship points.
Momentum in Class D sits firmly with Jack Hargraves, who will arrive at Mallory Park as the only class leader in the championship to have won both of the season’s opening races. Having enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, Hargraves will be looking to carry that form into round three as he bids to strengthen his position in the standings. He’ll have stiff competition from fellow MX-5 competitor Alister Esam, who comes to Mallory with momentum of his own after winning Class D in the Trackday Trophy race at Cadwell Park.
Trackday Championship continues to provide an accessible and competitive platform for drivers of all experience levels to enjoy championship racing in a welcoming environment. Featuring three classes, a mandatory two-minute pit stop for all teams, and the option for shared drives, the format allows competitors to maximise track time while helping to manage costs across the season.
