TDC brings the Multi-class action to Anglesey!

Qualifying:

Michael Rawlings secured Class B pole position in the #34 Paddock Performance BMW E36, setting a lap time eight tenths of a second quicker than Matt Swaffer's #45 BMW 130i. Completing the top three overall were the Team Airsupply father-and-son pairing of Jack and George Wright in the #46 Volkswagen Golf.

Nathan McPhail headed the Class C field aboard the #90 Honda Civic Type R, finishing ahead of Ashley Parsons in the #83 Toyota Celica and Stephen Docker in the #153 Mazda MX-5 Mk3.

In Class D, Lee Taylor put the #95 Graves Motorsport Mazda MX-5 Mk3 in the class lead with an impressive lap, finishing within three seconds of the outright pole time. Taylor was joined by fellow Mazda driver Jack Hargraves in the #66 Boreham Motorsport MX-5 Mk3, while James Howells completed the class top three in the Enhanced Motorsport #77 Ford Fiesta.

Race:

Matt Swaffer made the perfect launch from the front row to lead into Turn 1, but Michael Rawlings was quick to respond. By the end of the opening lap, the #34 BMW E36 had reclaimed the overall lead and headed the Class B field, with Swaffer and the #46 Golf remaining firmly in contention.

Nathan McPhail settled into the early Class C lead, opening an advantage over Parsons and Paul McHugh in his #39 Renault Clio. Meanwhile, Lee Taylor enjoyed an excellent opening stint, running fifth overall while leading Class D ahead of Hargraves and Howells.

The mandatory pit window added another twist to the race as Rawlings completed his stop from the overall lead, leaving Swaffer and Team Airsupply to battle for the position on track. Swaffer elected to pit before the Team Airsupply Golf, a strategy that ultimately proved costly as the race entered its second half.

As the pit cycle unfolded, the order continued to shuffle, with several drivers enjoying brief spells at the front. Once the stops had played out, however, Rawlings emerged back in command, maintaining the overall lead and control of Class B heading into the closing stages. Behind him, the battles for Class C and Class D remained finely poised.

One of the standout contests came in the midfield, where 16-year-old Tom Algar behind the wheel of the #35 Algar racing BMW 325i showcased impressive race craft in a prolonged wheel-to-wheel battle with Paul McHugh. The pair traded positions over several laps before McHugh finally completed a decisive move through the Rocket Complex, bringing one of the race's most entertaining duels to a close.

At the chequered flag, Rawlings secured the overall victory and Class B win ahead of the Airsupply Golf, with Aaron Mullarkey’s #25 Civic Type R completing the Class B podium. Parsons claimed victory in Class C, finishing ahead of McHugh and the father-and-son pairing of the Harts in the #245 Honda Civic Type R.

Lee Taylor completed a commanding drive to secure Class D honours, comfortably managing the challenge from Jack Hargraves, while Steven Orant completed the class podium in his #56 Mazda MX-5 Mk4.
