Trackday Championship debuts at Croft on Saturday 18 October, for the penultimate round of the 2025 season.
With just two races remaining this year, the importance of each and every point cannot be overstated and it’s set to be an enthralling race in North Yorkshire.
Abbitt Motorsport’s Dan Abbitt heads the overall standings presently, with a narrow six-point lead over Clubracer’s pairing of Henry Wright and Kevin Glover. Both teams are set to be on the grid at Croft and will be looking to record the largest available points haul to bolster their respective championship charges.
However, given the large number of differing teams that have finished on the class podiums so far this season, expect there to be plenty of tough competition for all teams to contend with.
Team Air Supply’s duo of George and Jack Wright will be looking to make home advantage count at their local circuit to reduce the deficit in both the overall and Class B standings, while reigning Champion Nicole Drought (Motion Motorsport) and Matt Swaffer (Swaffer Racing) will both be aiming to mount their own challenge at the top spots once more.
Independent Stephen Docker has demonstrated a rich vein of form throughout this year and resultingly sits at the top of the Class D standings. The Mazda MX-5 driver will be seeking another class win at Croft, but will have to see off the challenge posed by rivals such as STAL Powered for Racing’s Steven Orant.
Also keep a look out for PRO-AM Racing’s Jonathan Ogden and Scott Thompson, along with Aindale Racing’s Wayne Cockerill, as both teams will be looking to battle the afore-mentioned championship leader Dan Abbitt for Class C honours.
Croft’s circuit configuration blends fast straights and corners with testing technical sections. Expert precision, race craft and driver bravery are all of paramount importance and are often rewarded.
Ample overtaking opportunities over the course of the 3.38km lap only heighten the excitement for our debut on Saturday 18 October, with all three class championships in the balance.
