It's finale time!

The time has arrived for Trackday Championship’s 2022 season finale! Brands Hatch will play host to an expected thrilling day of motorsport, with the decisive final points up for grabs.

The Brands Hatch Indy circuit is fast, furious and the perfect setting for a championship decider. Drivers and machinery will be put through their paces at one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues, all while doing their upmost to outscore their rivals. A tricky opening sector includes the notorious Paddock Hill Bend and testing hairpin Druids, while Clearways at the end of the lap can always prove unforgiving – even for the most experienced competitor.

Last time out, on Donington Park’s Grand Prix circuit, it was Team Norfolk who clinched their first overall win of the 2022 season. Current championship leader Tylah Motorsport #71 finished third overall, with Apple Car Centre splitting the pair. Strong performances from the current class C & D championship leaders, Abbitt Motorsport and Fiesta Club_Racer, resulted in victory for both teams in Leicestershire to extend their points advantages.

As it stands, the leaders of all three classes look set to secure their respective class championships at Brands Hatch. There’s plenty to still be settle behind those at the forefront mind you, with a whole host of exciting battles ready to develop. Team Norfolk, Apple Car Centre and Unique Racing #89 are separated by just 21 points (without drop scores considered) and will all be duking it out for the top three in class B. The trio have contested some epic battles over the course of the season and it will be fascinating to see how they finish come Saturday evening. The sister Unique Racing car (#98) finds itself in an equally enthralling battle to finish as class C runners-up, as the Clio sits just 7 points behind rival PRO-AM Racing in the class standings.

Seeing as it’s the last race of the year, nothing can be taken for granted and there could well be more than a few surprises when it comes to the podium finishers! Brands Hatch has continuously  produced gripping TDC finales and there’s nothing to suggest this years won’t follow suit.
